car shopping

Did I ever mention how very painful car shopping is? I don't know if it's because I just hate the thought of spending so much money or that I don't like to deal with salesmen. Whatever. All I know is we're DONE and now I can have my life back!!!

what a day!

Brian returned from Korea the other night and is still trying to adjust to the time change, so we decided to go to late church so he could sleep in a bit. Wrong! The phone rang early and our neighbor needed a ride to the ER after falling off a ladder while she was painting her daughter's bedroom. Oh, and she couldn't reach her husband at work to help with their 3 kids, either. Brian and Bethany took over with the kids and Julie and I headed to the hospital only to find out she had a fracture that would require surgery. Jason finally relieved me and his dad relieved Brian and Bethany. Next on the agenda...we headed to Home Depot to get paint so we could paint a bedroom. The youngest of Julie's kids yelled, "don't fall off any ladders!" Thanks, Austin. We'll try to keep that in mind!
